ISTJs who didn’t enjoy the gift giving process might opt to give money instead of potentially giving a gift that someone doesn’t need or want. This personality is actually one of the most common. If your bestie is an ISTJ, they're likely practical, organized, and goal oriented. However, they also love gadgets that can make their lives easier, not to mention cleaner.
For the ENTJ in your life, a practical gift that allows them to track progress and see results is sure to please. For me, I like gifts that have some sort of significance to the person giving it to me. Helps me relate to and appreciate our friendship a bit more. I recently asked people to give me a copy of their favorite book and it’s been great to be able to talk with them on it. These four MBTI types tend to be practical and logical. When you're buying for any of these types, look for gifts that they'd find practical and useful.

ISFJs are famous for complaining about their situation endlessly. However, the unhealthy ISFJ will not just complain. They will also not act to end their source of discomfort.
You have a sharp eye, missing very little in your surroundings. Unlike your INFJ counterparts, who are more daydreamy and “in their heads,” you’re more rooted in the here-and-now. Over the last few years I’ve grown to love the dramatic and artistic world of Japanese animation. Anime has a way of sucking you in and making you feel like you’re part of the story. The drama, emotional intensity, epic battles, and inner personal struggles of the characters are usually deeply moving and graphically mesmerizing…. Many INFJs are able to express their thoughts and feelings in a deeper way through journaling.
Gift guide for INFJ, INFP, ENFP, and ENFJ
INFJs love to try out a new creative hobby as it gets them in touch with their rich imaginations as well as their Extraverted Sensing function. We love to read (yep, I’m an INFJ myself, so I can attest to this). Introverted Intuitives love being able to escape into a rich, imaginative story. INFJs have a wide variety of interests; I read somewhere that INFJs prefer non-fiction while INFPs prefer fiction, but from my own experience I haven’t seen this to be true. We do seem to have a penchant for philosophical books, meaningful novels, fantasy/sci-fi, and books related to self-help or psychology. Chances are, if you know an INFJ very well, you’ll know what kind of books they enjoy.
ISTJs enjoy having beautiful, sturdy notebooks and pens to jot down their thoughts and “to-do” lists with. Many of the ISTJs I spoke with mentioned enjoying leather-bound organizers and notebooks as well as classic, elegant pens made with high-quality materials like stainless steel or rosewood. "ISFJs are true altruists, meeting kindness with kindness-in-excess and engaging the work and people they believe in with enthusiasm and generosity," 16 Personalities noted. Return the favor by pampering your ISFJ best friend with a food subscription service like this three-month subscription to Dana's Bakery Mac Of The Month macaroon club. This gift is Instagramable, which the ISFJ will love, and shows your bestie how much you truly appreciate them. I'd also enjoy a shared placelist you created for me that reminds you of me, or maybe captures some moments we've had.

They hold onto little facts and tidbits of information that might tell them the kinds of things you may want or need. This makes them exceptional gift-givers because, chances are, they’ve noticed all your interests and passions and made a mental note to remember them. Sign up for our newsletters to get more stories like this. ISFJs are the ones who pick us up when we need it most, the ones who often think about others first, and the ones who don’t mind doing the tough work that needs to get done. The world would be a much harder place without ISFJs, and your loved ones know that more than anyone.

For others, they are critical when it comes to values and actions they do not agree with. Unhealthy ISFJs see the world as black and white. This makes it difficult for them to be friends with people from different backgrounds. This is compounded by their inclination towards people-pleasing. So, ISFJs might be extremely unhappy about an issue, but still appear to be the nicest people ever.
He likes coffee but I think I bought out too many variations of coffee things that can be used. I am trying to generate some ideas by brainstorming other’s personal taste and inputs (personal preference/experience). So that I can kind of see some pattern in choice of gift (material goods or “experience” gift like traveling) and curate to my lovely ISFJ. ISFJs are driven to help other people and can struggle with making time for themselves. ISFJs love to be productive, and electronic tools like printers, laptops, and tablets can give them more ways to be efficient and productive. They also enjoy nice cameras that can help them to capture their memories in higher-quality resolution, or a video game they can play with their friends .
Here’s a great article that can teach you how to do this in no time. If you feel you’re an escapist, here’s an article that might help you snap back to reality. They tend to mirror the opinions or personal values of those closest to them.
If you’re experiencing this, it might be good to set up a self-care routine. Here’s a great article on how to enjoy more self-care activities. This isn’t a gift you can wrap in pretty paper, but this was by far mentioned the most among the ISFPs I spoke with. Take the time to really be there for the ISFP, listen to them, take them out for coffee, or just invite them over for a home-cooked meal!
Determined and driven by an inner vision of what is possible, you want to flip tradition on its head and find original, new ways to do things…. Almost every type I’ve spoken with would rather have a memorable experience than an item that they may or may not like. They may not enjoy a crowded concert or a massage might make them nervous (you can always ask!). Most of the ISTJs I spoke with had very specific experiences they enjoyed, so you could just ask them a question like “hey! If you could do anything you wanted to this weekend, what would it be? If they say “stay home and read” you could go with the book option, and maybe provide some fun snacks and a candle to add some nuance to the experience.
Many sellers on Etsy offer personalized, made-to-order items. You take things personally — maybe too personally. Doesn’t everything boil down to an interaction between two people?
It also outlines the differences between introverts and extroverts. For instance, I am an INFP, which means I am an introvert who makes decisions based on intuition, feelings, and perception. ISFJs have a strong sense of fairness and tend to be very reliable in upholding their commitments. Because of their attention to detail and warm, personable nature, ISFJs make the ultimate caregivers. ISFPs have auxiliary Extraverted Sensing in their function stack.
There’s something magical and meaningful about receiving something that a loved one really put their heart into and spent time putting together. Hand-made gifts always made an impact with INFJs. The ISFJ dark side usually means an absence of personal values. When unhealthy, they might never take time to develop their own values or opinions.
